Tides of Consequence_1 by Re Emanouel

This painting embodies the delicate balance between humanity and nature, exploring the consequences of environmental neglect through the lens of the Blue Tribes ethos. Inspired by the toxic surge of blue-green algae in the lower Murray River, the work reflects the fragility of ecosystems and the urgency of collective action. The lone figure, immersed in the water, represents both vulnerability and resilience, symbolizing our deep connection to the living world and the responsibility we share in its preservation. The swirling currents and storm-laden sky serve as a visual reminder of nature’s distress, urging us to embrace innovative solutions and a renewed commitment to planetary harmony.
