Based on the information provided, a price range for this artwork would likely fall in the range of $500 to $1,500. This estimation takes into consideration the artist`s reputation and recognition, as well as the size and medium of the artwork. The artist`s 25-year career as a lawyer, followed by his dedication to painting upon settling in Perth, demonstrates a commitment to his craft and suggests a level of experience and skill that collectors may find appealing. The artist`s skillful use of pastel in capturing the beauty and tranquility of the Nile River suggests a high level of expertise in this medium, which could potentially increase the artwork`s value. Overall, taking into account the artist`s reputation, the size and medium of the artwork, and the level of detail and skill demonstrated in the piece, a price range of $500 to $1,500 would be a reasonable estimate for The Nile at Aswan. Of course, individual collectors may value the artwork differently based on personal preferences and budget considerations.
